She does it again! LOL!

Situation 1 (Saturday)
Lecturer talking about different risks companies face.

Lecturer: "Okay, so although both the companies are in the same industry, they may face different risks. For example an organic food company and a donut selling company. Obviously the donut selling company faces a higher risk."

Students: "Eh? Why? Shouldn't the organic food company find it more difficult to sell their products?"

Lecturer: "No, the donut company faces a higher risk. Do you know by eating donuts you can die?"

Students: (Start protesting) "HUH?!!!"

Lecturer: "Yea. Eating donuts causes cancer! They're all fried, not baked you know!"

Students: (Murmuring) "But donuts are so tasty..."

Lecturer: (continues...) "See all those donut shops opening up in shopping complexes, all having 5, 6 lines of people queuing up everyday."

Students agree with her.

Lecturer: "Yea, look at all those people... all queuing up to die..."

Students: "LOL!"

Situation 2 (Sunday)
Lecturer talking about working capital management. Using WC as the short form for working capital...

Students copying...
Lecturer: "Okay, next point... A higher amount of finance would be needed for WC... WC means toilet..."
Students: "XD There she goes again..."

*Sigh* I'm gonna miss her classes. Although I wouldn't wanna be in the same class in the same subject again next semester. Looking forward to more random and sarcastic lecturers in the future~

Utter Randomness

So there we were in class, growing bored and tired as all we had been doing for the past one and a half hours or so was just listening to our lecturer talk. I guess she was getting bored too, so anyway this is what happened...

(FOREX Risk and Risk management being discussed in class, students hurriedly copying...)

Lecturer: "In the case of Company Three, it could be exposed to economic risk - unexpected changes in exchange rates on future cash flows... What animal eats wood?"

Students: (Stunned - Looks up at lecturer) "Huh?"

Lecturer: (With calm face) "What animal likes to eat wood?"

One student: "Uhh... woodpecker?"

Lecturer: (Laughs) "No lah, woodpecker pecks wood, not eat it! So what animal eats wood?"

Students: "Wtf... Termites?"

Lecturer: "Exactly, termites!"

Students thinking : What in the world has that got to do with what we're learning? Is it like some new term in finance we've never heard of before?
(Since we were covering multilateral netting, we thought maybe the netting thing had to do with animals or something)

Lecturer: "Actually I was so bored lah, that's why I asked you the question. So the class wouldn't be so bored, right? From now on I'll ask you a question after every point, okay?"

Students break out in laughter, all thinking:
"What the... so random one!"

Ahh yes, she can be so random... the last time she was like that it was something about thunder and God's way of telling us that the topic was coming out for the exam. But that's a story for another day, and maybe something I should remember while doing my final revision.
Utter randomness~

One down...

One down, and one more to go.

Boohoo to Chelsea for losing out on the title race and also poor John Terry who dislocated his elbow. (Wouldn't liked to have been in his situation... it was definitely *ouch*)

Man Utd better make sure they make it a double. And well Fergie, at least you won't have the pitch to be worried about anymore.. Hahaha...

Chants: "We are the CHAMPIONS... WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!"

Sleep T____T

Right... I just did this to push that horrible picture further down a bit so whenever I came on, it wouldn't be the first thing I'll be seeing...

Surviving through a full 8 hours ++ of audit class is no easy feat, what more if done 2 days in a row. But I shouldn't be complaining, at least I was fortunate enough not to have my revision classes lined up one after the other like some others do.

But I guess I can say that the revision helped though. Well, at least it inspired me enough to aim a little higher in the coming exam. And at least I have some form of motivation to work on now.
So, starting tomorrow, it's HARD CORE TIME!!!

I hope I stay motivated enough to achieve what I want to though... =p

By the way, best of luck to every one out there who will be facing their exams soon!
And to all mums, Happy Mother's Day too!

It's tough being a girl sometimes

As per the the title.
Wait! Before you start to scramble around looking for the comment button to post whatever arguments you have on what I've just stated, just be patient and hear me out first, okay?

As I was performing some personal grooming on myself during a well postponed "ME time" today, and being a little bit more hairy than the average girl...

*Excuse me a minute...*
"Hey wait come back here! It's not THAT bad!!!" Yells out loudly and starts chasing as all those potential candidates start slinking away...

*Right, sorry for that... As I was saying...*
Being a teeny weeny bit more %#$*@ than the average girl, that title up there just popped into my head. Well, the longer I continued with my "ME time", the longer I was able to mull over that thought. So here are just a few of the reasons why being a girl can be tough at times...

1. The monthly blues. Nothing can beat that. Lol

2. We girls are expected to look good AND do it in a short period of time while preparing for social outings, parties, dinners etc. Well, I have to admit that it's not impossible to do so but being a girl, believe me when I say it is.

3. Shopping can be difficult at times (when you have sooo many options to choose from and everything looks just so perfect but it all comes crashing down when you realize you don't have the $$$ *Ka-ching* or body to wear it)

4. Think of all the time wasted when out shopping, when it could have been used to do so many other things instead!!! (i.e. doing charity o.O, studying for that big exam, finishing up that assignment, completing all those undone chores...)

5. Females are, generally, weaker than the males in physical strength, speed of reflexes, intelligence, and so many other things.

6. Girls and women are still being discriminated over the world.

7. Girls are usually at a disadvantage in a relationship.

8. Having unwanted hair can be such a pain!

9. The first thing people usually say when seeing an incompetent driver on the road would be: " Sure lady driver wan!" The second would definitely be: "Aiyo, that 'P' driver ahh..."

Hmmm... seems like there are so few reasons now that I've typed it all down. I'm sure I thought of more just now... =.=

Now, if I were to be a male, I think I'd look something like this...

OkAy... seeing that I think I'm better of being a girl instead. XD
Don't get me wrong, I still love being a girl, no matter how "difficult" it can be at times. ;)

Evil Yong-sama: Muahahah. Please forgive me for my awesomely horrible photoshop skills. Did you notice the "He" me had spiky hair? XD Hmm... the more I look at that picture the more I think I look like my dad. LOL!

Another tag~

Simple instructions... the tag consists of 15 questions, when YOU do the tag.. add one more question to it at the end and bracket your name at the back of it tag 4 people :)

1. Are you currently interested (in the boy-girl relationship way) in someone?
How do I answer this? Hmm, first one dah start to prod at the heart's most deep and dark secrets. Lol.
At this age, who wouldn't be. But the problem for me would be commitment I guess. It's hard to decide when you're having conflicting thoughts about this. One side of me thinks that I don't have the time to commit to a relationship now and the other half of me is afraid that my lack of commitment will tear apart the whole relationship (assuming that I ever get into one that is).
So is it my selfishness of not wanting to be hurt again or pure concern that I would not be fair to the other half of the relationship which is standing in my way now?

2. If given the chance, what part of your past would you change?
If I changed my past, would that give me a different future as to what I have now (of course it would lah, like duh). I do admit there were certain opportunities that I regret letting go of, but I don't regret what or where I am today. So I guess the answer is: No?

3. In general, do you think physical or internal beauty matters more in a person?
Heehee... I tend to always get attracted to physical beauty first lor... AND THEN only will I look at inner beauty when I get to know the person more. But yes, like the general perception, of course I think inner beauty is more important.

4. Why did you choose your occupation/course?
Accountancy was my 2nd choice.
Reasons why I chose this course:
i) Cheap (lessen the financial burden of my parents)
ii) Fast (the earlier I can come out to work , the earlier I can stop worrying about the household finances -and how much my parents are spending to support me-)
iii) I guess I kinda liked accountancy, although at that time I did not know that accountancy was so deep as to this extent (yes, we were polluted by all the imbang-imbang and basic accounting principles in secondary school)

5. How much does money matter to you?
I don't believe in the saying 'Money does not bring you happiness'
It does bring you happiness, to a certain extent of course. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd say it would be 7 for me. I have to admit that I can be quite sensitive when it comes to matters of the $$$ though.

6. How's life currently?
Same as always. I don't go out much, I don't really have much of what you'd call a social life, and revision classes has just started. Ah well, but as long as I have a roof over my head, clothes to wear and food to eat, life is good lah.

7. Are you a faithful/loyal person when it comes to relationships?
I think I am. If I'd wish the same from my other half then wouldn't he wish the same from me as well?

8. What is the one physical trait of yourself you like the most?
One nia? My eye colour! XD Because it's different from the typical Asian one. =D
Ala, my hair also lah, I love them both equally.

9. What is the one physical trait of yourself you dislike the most?
Qi Hong. Why you set all 1 only one?
My small boobs. Haha! No la, mine is alright considering I'm an Asian girl.
Let's see, my knock-knees, which make me walk like a duck/penguin at times.

10. Briefly describe your dream car.
I don't know much about cars. But owning a red Ferrari is awesome enough for me.

11. Briefly describe your dream house.
Let's see, a huge home which is modern yet traditional at the same time. Each room has its own theme and is designed as such. A must have would be a Japanese room with tatami and kotatsu (straw floors and table warmers - although not appropriate for hot weather), a Victorian bed with a canopy, a huge Japanese garden complete with Sakura trees, a tennis court and swimming pool and an awesome kitchen with all the equipment necessary for cooking and baking.

12. What is the ONE skill you would like to pick up the most?
How to sleep with my eyes open! XD

13. What was the last dream you had? (the kind you get when you're asleep LOL)
Right let's see, I dreamt that (oh gosh I remembered just now but I don't now...wtfishes)
Anyway, the last one I could remember...

I was in a car with a guy (I dunno who the hell it is ok, I'm telling the truth...), and I was kinda hugging him from behind with one hand (I have no idea how two people can muat in the passenger seat), while he was talking about turtles and tortoises (I think due to my college mates influence, which is a story for another day). Then suddenly he took the back of my hand and kissed it, moved back into the driver's seat, and turned out and drove against traffic on the highway. I was freaking out and telling him he was going the wrong way. The impression I got (although I didn't know his face) was that he was smiling back at me. (Does that mean he wanted to commit suicide with me ar?)

14. How often do you get what you want?
What I want? As in...
Material stuff - Not that often. Most of what I have (accessories, books, gadgets and the like has been purchased using my own funds)
Emotional needs - Not as often as I want either. But I feel this is because of my own attitude.

15. List out 5 positive and 5 not-so-positive things about the person who tagged you. (Qi Hong)
Do you how hard it is to think of 5 negative things?? Why do you think I'm taking so long??!
Positive: (mostly repeat of previous tag)
- Has a good way with words
- Intelligent and smart
- Has super metabolism and likely will never grow fat
- Much more sensitive than previously
- An awesome friend

Negative:
- Thinks too much and too deeply at times (often negative stuff - I think?)
- Deep knowledge (which is good) can often steer conversations into something totally... well, too deep for the average mind to understand
- Tendency to argue when he doesn't agree with something (actually it's not all that bad but I seriously can't think of anything anymore)
- Inability to grow fat (I'm jealous)
- Scary driving at times (Ah, but you're a guy...so what is there for me to complain, you guys have better reflexes)

16. Which cartoon character do you think you resemble most and why? (Yong)
I would have loved to say I resembled Cosmo (from Fairly Odd-Parents) but unfortunately I'm not as well, stupid and interesting as he is.
I'd say I'm half Raven (from Teen Titans) and half Kim Possible (from Kim Possible)
Raven - I carry her traits of cutting herself of from her friends and being secretive (which I tend to do from time to time)
Kim - Her ability to do almost anything (same for me just that I don't excel in anything I do i.e. Jill of all trades, master of none)

I've run out of people to tag liao. Yes, my online social circle is PATHETHIC!
So whoever who sees this tag, feel free to take it then!

If I must...
Jia Ling and Foo, be warned!
Ye have been tagged!
