Mistakes

Every human being on this world makes mistakes. God didn't make us perfect.

Everything in the world runs in a cycle. Take life for example, from a baby, to a kid, to a teen, adult, and finally an old person before your candle of life burns out, goes in a somewhat cycle, doesn't it?

The same can be said for a person's actions. You make a mistake, hurting somebody. You then come to realise that you've done something wrong, and you apologise. The person you apologise to then forgives you, and all is well again. The cycle is complete then, is it not?

The way I see it, the cycle is still incomplete and the existing broken link is usually blind to most people. As much as you realise your own mistakes, as much effort you've put in to make an apology, ask yourself this: Have I actually learned anything from making this mistake?

The answer would probably be no. If humans were to actually learn from all of their mistakes, this world would sooner or later be a perfect place. But as I said, God didn't make us perfect.

Remember way back then when you were in school and frequently had history projects to do, there would always be a section where you had to write out the objectives of the project. The standard answer that most students would've written down would be 'To enable us to know the history and learn from it, preventing us from repeating the same mistakes in the future.'

Learn from it to prevent making the same mistake? If this action is actually applied into our lives would there still be accidents happening? Would students actually pass all their papers without failing any? Would there finally be a world with peace and without war?

That's just something that we can all hope for.

The next time you or anyone close to you makes a mistake, just remind yourself that you should at least learn something from it, whether you made the mistake or not. Life is a learning process, and you only have one life. If you've ever made a mistake and regret it, make that mistake worthwhile then, by learning from it.

If everyone is able to do this, the world might turn out to be a better place after all.

Yong-sama is the same as everyone else and has made numerous mistakes in her life. As much as she regrets making them, she is also glad for the chance to make them to understand what would've been right and what would've been wrong. If Yong-sama has actually made any mistakes towards friends or family that she has not yet realised, she would be glad if you were to point it out to her, and point her in the right direction.

I have to disagree. We do learn from our mistakes. But it doesn't mean we will change instantly. Learning from our mistakes AND changing is a process, a long one for some people. But to change, you must first be willing to change. I think if we want to, we can change. Change is a very painful and tough process. How we are, how we behave, it's not like we were programmed to be like this. It's like saying gay people are born gay. You might agree with that, I don't know. I don't. BUt the point is that We CAN change. By saying we can't, it's like giving up already without even trying.
Just my 2 cents. Lalala~

Well, you, Wan Yong, my dear are a very careful and organised person. Although, yes, you may also make mistakes but I feel there are people who make MORE mistakes than others. 'Cause they haven't thought thru it thoroughly enough or wtv.

i agree with the fact that if we ever really DO make a mistake, we should learn from it. But sometimes.. you can also learn from OTHER ppl's mistakes just save yourself a bit of time :D
