Phew. What a weekend.
College has already started and yet I still feel like I'm still on holiday, and if I don't snap out of this soon, well you can just say "GG" lah.
Monday-Thursday
Anyway, just F.Y.I, I spent the first 4 days of last week having the time of my life in Taman Negara. As of now, I just cannot find the words to say what an awesome holiday it was for me. If you would like a more detailed account of what happened during that period of 4 days in which I was enjoying myself, (since I won't be blogging on it) you can find it here and here.
Friday
Friday was supposed to be my rest day. I woke up at 2 in the afternoon and proceeded to Jun Sheng's house to join the gang who were already there since early afternoon transferring photos of TNT (Taman Negara Trip) and the Reunion.
After our 5 o'clock lunch at Asia Cafe I went home, tried to finish up some of my theory homework and then it was off to Uncle Kong Beng's house for CSG that night. Cookie break was definitely a treat that day. Aunty Yah Lee baked quite a big batch of heavenly, superbly huge chocolate chip cookies, which were as big as the circle I could make by joining the index finger and thumb of my right hand to my left. All of us had at least 2 each before going home. That is one recipe I must definitely ask from her.
Saturday
Music class at 10 in the morning. I totally got slaughtered doing aural exercise (listening to a piece and writing out the score) that morning. One thing's for sure though, Grade 4 is no joke anymore.
Had lunch with my church friends later in the afternoon. And as broke as they were they still chose Kim Gary's in Sunway Pyramid as our lunch stop.
Quotes See Hwang: "Rudi said it was quite cheap eating here mar..."
Yeah right... Lol.
Taekwondo later that evening was real fun. Sir had us doing 360 jumping turning kicks as well as jumping back thrust, a continuation from last week's class. Sir split us into 3 groups at the start, and this is how he did it:
Sir: "Okay, I want 3 lines." *Points at targets on the floor* "Okay, this one is big, this one is medium size and that one there is for cute."
Class: "Lol!"
Suddenly...
Sir: "Eh Andrew! What you doing there? That line is for cute only lar!"
Andrew was a very big guy, and well, Sir's definition of cute that day didn't actually include Andrew.
Andrew: "Sir, I'm cute also what..."
Sir: "Okay lah, okay lah..." *Points at the big line* "That one big and cute. Okay?"
Class breaks out in laughter.
Sunday
Woke up at 4.30 in the morning and got a lift from Kui Ch'ng to IYC to meet up with Master Wong and Sir Zul. For those of you who do not know where I went that day, well I volunteered to be a referee in the Johor Inter-Club Taekwondo Competition.
You may be thinking: "Wah! Referee ah? So cool wan!"
Then let me tell you, it's definitely not cool at all when you're forced to watch about 85 bouts of sparring going on in the ring and giving score with only a 20 minute lunch break in between. My fellow referees and I almost dozed off after we had our lunch. That shows how tired we really were.
Anyway, here are some pictures. (Was using a camera phone, so pardon me for the extremely poor quality and blur photos. Andrew I want your iPod Touch!!!!)
See the frog in the picture? The shop's supposed to be a distributor of sea food, but yet there's a picture of a frog on their sign board.
Quotes Sir: "Eh, why got katak one? Johor got special katak laut is it?"
XD The rest of the journey home were filled with numerous katak laut comments too lame to be repeated on this blog. Lol.
An example of the score sheet. Most of the time my submitted score sheets were blank though. (Sorry lah, I very kedekut in giving marks wan =p)
Master Yap, our ring's Head Judge, or Jury as they call it. 7th Dan Master woo, don't play play man!
GO Monica! The pride of our flock. She took out 2 opponents almost 2 heads taller than her to bring home the gold medal.
Andrew and me. We were taking pictures while sitting on the stage (referees get to sit up on the stage) with my camera phone and his iPod Touch (GAH! I want one too!!!) as the prize presentation ceremony was going on.
A picture of Sir Zul. He almost took his aerosol spray with him as they called him forward to present the medals.
Qutoes Kui Ch'ng: "Sir, what you want to do with the spray? Spray the winners is it?"
The 3 participants that we brought along. Proud to say PTA achieved 100% this time. 3 participants, 3 gold medals.
The cute kid with the awesome jumping back thrust. (The shortest one in the picture) He won gold by the way.
Yong-sama thinks this kid has the potential to become a leng-zhai in the near future. Hehehe...
Sir Zul's cacat car and radio clock. At the time of capturing this photo, the real time was actually 9.25 pm. Lol.
Andrew: "Sir, why is your car dented in front? o.O"
Sir: "Huh, why ar? You-lah, kick my car."
Andrew: "Oh is it, well you asked us to do power kicking wan mar..."
Kui Ch'ng, Monica and I: "Eh yea hor, good idea, power kicking on sir's car..."
Sir: "..."
I reached home at 3am the next morning. Took a shower and crashed into bed straight away.
