A refreshing trip back from the sauna
"A refreshing experience that will leave you at least 2 pounds lighter at the end of the day and guaranteed to make you sweat out all that excess and unwanted toxins in your body. And we're even throwing in a special plus! Just bring along a friend or two, or even more to join you in your relaxing day at this amazing sauna!"
That was exactly what I got for turning up for class today.
In a freaking average-sized lecture theatre with a freaking large number of students for an average class, we poor freaks had to endure almost 3 hours worth of 'sauna time' in class as the freaking air-conditioner was NOT working.
And the freaking reason the administration gave when they came to inspect on us after receiving our complaint:
"You all opened the windows, that's why it's not cold."
Opened the windows my foot, if we hadn't opened the windows, we'd most probably suffocated to death, Ms. Admin.
After 3 full hours worth of smelling our neighbour's sweat and taking a bath in our own sweat, they finally moved us to another lecture theatre which was almost incapable of taking all us 270 students. But, we managed to squeeze in (thanks to the skills of all students who have been trained from the first time since entering the college). Thank heavens the air-conditioner was functioning. Imagine if we were sitting in a lecture hall with no air-cond, what do you think would freaking happen if someone were to fart? Can you even imagine that situation?
In another 1 hour or so, one of the persons in charge came in to apologise. Well, at least they apologised, we thought. But whaddya-know... Right after apologising, she announced that it was our fault because apparently the air-cond 'overheated' or whatever it was because: WE OPENED THE WINDOWS!
If I wasn't a girl, I'd most probably had stood up and shouted, "To hell and fish you and your window opening business, missy!"
Well, after that the day went fairly smooth, right until about a half hour before the class ended of course. What do you think happened? The air-conditioner got switched off again! Whee~~~ We get an additional sauna session absolutely free! Aren't you glad that we as consumers are benefiting so much from this? And for the first time too!
And once again, to hell and fish you and your freaking window opening thingy.

Troubling Nights
Well, it's not my cup of tea either. What more with the fact that I do need at least 9 hours of sleep a day to be able to be fully focused and pumped up for the next day's activities, being unable to sleep at night is not a fun thing at all.
I have been having trouble sleeping for the past three nights.
The earliest I've been able to sleep at was 1a.m. And the latest? 3.30a.m.
Guess the main reason as to why I'm having trouble sleeping is that my mind isn't as exhausted as I thought it would be. I lay awake every night thinking about a lot of unwanted thoughts. You know how when you sometimes space out, your brain starts moving as if you're watching a film,
a film of your memory that all happened in the past? Yeah, mine has been working something like that for the past three days. And what's being replayed isn't the best of memories either.
Every time I think of something, I start asking myself: 'What would have happened if I did...... instead? But blah! It all happened in the past, it's not like I can turn back time and go try it out right?' So after stopping myself from thinking any further I'll automatically stop at that memory, and then my brain will automatically show me another one instead. =.=
Haih, maybe it's just me.
Well, I think I've emo-ed/ranted enough for now. You know how cranky I can get when I don't get enough sleep.
Sleep, sleep, sleep... Why do you ELUDE me???!!!

Yong-sama gets her much wanted HOLIDAY
I know it's not necessary to let everyone know what I actually did or how I enjoyed myself, but I still feel compelled to blog about it. Don't worry, it's just gonna be a real short post.
Bapakz in Genting
Weekdays are the best times to be going to Genting to avoid the stupid crowd you'd usually find there during weekends and peak seasons. So my college mates and I decided to go up there and enjoy ourselves thoroughly.
I'm extremely proud to tell everyone that we crazy girls actually sat on the Space Shot (also known as the Solero Shot) at least 3 times. (I took it 4 times, my good friend Athirah and Joce actually took it 5 times). By the third time I was on it, I didn't feel anything anymore. Guess I was already numb to it by then.
And the cutest one in the pack: Ms. Athirah
We didn't stay there for the night though. And a good thing it was I guess, apparently the group of other college mates we met there by pure coincidence actually experienced some 'supernatural' sightings/feelings in a lift in a particular hotel.
6 Hot Chicks on Redang
Most of you already know how long we girls have been good friends ever since entering the same class during Form 1 in secondary school. And through bitter and sweet times we've actually been able to stick together until now (believe me, it wasn't easy). Going to Redang together have always been our somewhat plan and dream for a long long time. Looks like dreams really do come true if you put your mind to it huh? =D
Now you understand why I said we were hot chicks right? Because seriously, they all are.
There's nothing much for me to say. The time and fun I had with them is just indescribable in words. The free accommodation that one of us was able to obtain was a bonus added on to all the fun we had. Love you all gurls! Next stop: Pulau Phuket XD
Hungry Teddies Storm Ipoh (Or more like 'Hungry Teddies wandered around Ipoh aimlessly a lot')
We are friends. We are Teddies. And we were HUNGRY.
Clockwise from left: Sue-Anne (nice pose), the boys at their card game -Foo covering his face, Qi Hong, Willy and Jun Sheng on the floor, The Sleeping Dong (I know he'll kill me if he sees this pic XD don't nobody tell him, 'kay?) and me.
Yup. Hungry Teddies really wandered around New Town Ipoh a lot aimlessly with me only helping Qi Hong oh-so-pathetically until we finally satisfied our stomachs. (I still feel bad because I think I was a bad guide. Lol)
Most of the time we spent hanging around the hotel room playing cards and talking. Ah, but it was nice doing a nice long catch-up after not seeing each other for so long. So where to next, Teddies?
My new but expensive hobby
Baking!
You can say that I was extremely 'smart' to take up this hobby right at the end of my holidays, when I was so broke (I still am F.Y.I) and heavily in debt (Baking is expensive if you have to buy the ingredients with your own allowance, like I do... especially chocolate cakes...)
What was left of my butter cake just three days after baking it. -Yes, it's empty-My extremely successful first-time banana loaf cake.
But the joy of seeing family members and friends enjoying the cakes I made is more than enough to cover up for the cost of it. It's on to cookies next, when I'm not so broke that is. =D
*******
Here ends the delightful stories that I have to tell you about my holidays, and it's back to the digging of my grave for another five months. To all that contributed in any way to this past holiday of mine, I say thank-ya big big (Stephen King-- Dark Tower Style) and love you all.
Wait, wait, this isn't the post that I said would blow your heads away. That is still a W.I.P (Work in Progress). Don't know when I'll get around to that though.

A thousand apologies
(although by the time I actually apologise 1000 times to each and everyone of you I'd probably be 78 years old and suffering from Laryngopharyngeal Reflux Disease -go google it blah-)
I know I haven't been actively blogging for the past 2 to 3 months and I know I have readers who'd loyally come by every 3 days or so just to check and see if I'd made a new post. And when they do, what do they see but the same post I've made like who knows how long ago and a fairly active chatterbox, minus anything from the owner. Although I would say I have reasons for my lack of blogging, I still do not think that it is sufficient enough to redeem the disappointments suffered by my beloved readers (ee.. sounds so corny), what more with me having my holidays now and everything.
But anyway fear not, let me get my act back together, say in like a few days or so, and I'll try and cook up something that will blow your heads away (ok... I don't really wanna commit murder or anything lol)
And before I log off for today, just lemme wish all my readers here a Happy 1st of July... the month that kills my savings because for no particular reason my friends' parents just decided to have them in this month of so many months. Whee~ Happy 1st of July!
