Things You May Have Not Known About ME before...

It's the month of August! It's the month you get to know more about Yong-sama!

Aiyah, I just picked it up from Sue-Anne's and Qi Hong's blog after rummaging through their old posts. I do realise that he tagged me like who knows how long ago but I didn't bother to do anything as I was busy (or I might have been). Ah well, something extra to add to my August posts so people have no right to say I haven't been blogging then =p

5 Weird things about myself:
No 1 - Remember the KFC bun you always get when you order their set meals. Well yeah, what I like to do is bite off the top of the bun, put in coleslaw, cover it over with mash potatoes, and add a small red dot of chili on the top. And I'll only consume it after eating my first piece of chicken.

No 2 - I love and love to wear lacy, pretty, colourful undergarments. I mean come on, who doesn't? Don't you like to look good both inside and outside? Aww man... Is it just me or what?

No 3 - I have this weird 'thing' of getting influenced easily by the person sitting next to me in class. No, not in style or fashion or habits or anything, it's their handwriting. If I sit next to the same person for too long, my handwriting will start changing to look like the handwriting of the person beside me.

No 4 - I need at least 9 hours of sleep a day to be totally awake and focused for the following day, else I get all cranky and will start to space out by 3 in the afternoon.

No 5 - The secret is out: I still have my bolster I was using since I was 3 years old, and am still using it up until now. Go on, you can laugh at me, I don't care =.=

Layer 1: On the outside
Name: If you're reading my blog, you'd most probably know my name. But anyway, what people call me ranges from Wan Yong to Yong to Yong-yong to 'Wan U' to Yong-sama to Yong-chan and Yong-san and the occasional OI or EH.

Birth Date: The 27th day of the 8th month of 19XX

Current Status: What status lah? Be specific! Mental status - Insane, Physical status - Somewhat there but not fit enough, Dating status? - Single but extremely unavailable. No I'm not weird or anything FYI. Studies first studies first!

Eye Colour: Hazel brown.

Hair Colour: Was golden brownish about 10 years back, and then it was brown... and now? It's almost close to black. (Nuuuu my beautiful golden brown hair......)

Righty of Lefty: Righty and will always be. I can't even write my name with my left hand (stupid, useless piece of &$@!)

Layer 2: On the INSIDE?
My Heritage: Ima Chinese! HockChiew and Hakka (I can't speak either) (although I've had people saying that I'm a Japanese/Korean)

My Fears: I hate centipedes and millipedes and also flying cockroaches, I'm afraid I'll die in a really horrific way like having my head run over by a bus or a lorry, and I dread the day the doctors declare me a diabetic and ban me from all my sweet sweet stuff

My Perfect Pizza: Er... Spaghetti with meatballs, Carbonara, Extreme Supreme Hawaiian Chicken and Super Extra Seafood all on each quarter of a Box-shaped pizza with filling in it =D (I know it sounds nuts)

Layer 3: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow...
My Thoughts First Waking Up: "Whuuuut? Whut time isit? Whut day isit? Oh crap am I late for class? FISHES!!!" *scrambles out of bed and nearly falls*

My Bedtime: Between 11pm - 2am, and 3pm - 5pm, as long as I get a minimum of 9 hours sleep

My Most Missed Memories: My time spent with friends yam-cha-ing and BS-ing, family during holidays, foster family in Japan, sensei and tomodachi in classes, dreams in my sleep (o.O)...

Layer 4: My Pick?
Pepsi or Coke: It doesn't matter, they taste the same. (To those who disagree, sorry-lah okay, my tongue cacat la sheesh) But if you have to know, it's Coke... Pepsi is just so... 'Pepsi'

McDonald's or Burger King: McD's for the price and fries and sundaes and cute plush toys. Sorry la Burger King... if you had the guts and $$$ to pop up everywhere just like McD's then maybe I'd have said "Burger King"...=p

Single or Group Dates: I'd prefer single I guess, it'd be so weird having group dates... Make me think of orgy only LOL

Adidas or Nike: Nike wins in the design category, although they suck at the quality category. But I still like Nike T_T

Tea or Nestea: Har? Nestea also has tea in it, no? Yer... Nestea over tea but green tea over Nestea anytime

Cappuccino or Coffee: Same right? Caffeine in both?!?! Ipoh white coffee owns all lah

Layer 5: Do You...
Smoke: Never in my life. Not even if anyone threatens to commit suicide =.=

Curse: Of course. It's not that I love to do it or anything. My favourite word for now is FISHES btw... (as in I love to eat fish punya fish okay) =D

Take a Shower: Who doesn't? o.O Oh wait, some people only take BATHS... Do you realise how much water you're wasting taking BATHS!? *blahblahblahblah...waste of water...blahblah pollution...blahblahblah...think of future generations...blahblah...end of the world...blahblah*

Have a Crush: No. Noooo. NO. (Must... Concentrate... On... Studies...)

Think You've Been in Love: Nah, never. I'm only 19. Oh oops... age terbocor adi...

Go to School: Went to school. Goes to college.

Want to Get Married: Duh

Believe in Yourself: Definitely. I trust you, Yong. I LOVE ME! XD

Think You are a Health Freak: Not really, but I wouldn't like to die of multiple health problems either

Layer 6: In the Past...
Drank Alcohol: Yes, even before I was legally permitted to. I wasn't your perfect angel and good girl most people think I am.

Gone to the Mall: Eh hello?! I live in the city okay? I'm not some ulu person okay?

Been on a Stage: Countless of times. I still get 'pre-stage' butterflies though

Eaten Sushi: Yep, both lousy sushi in Malaysia and super expensive but delicious sushi in Japan. Aiya, this question should ask 'Eaten worms/bugs' or something mar... Sushi's so common

Dyed Your Hair: Nope. Dyeing your hair ruins it! "Say NO to hair dyes! NO to hair dyes!"

Layer 7: Have You Ever...
Played a Stripping Game: Nope, not physically? Lol... if just main main in chat room then... (but I didn't finish the game though!!!)

Changed Who You Were to Fit In: Not once. Although there were times in the past that I wished I was different, I never actually thought of carrying out the action. As of now, I'm happy and satisfied with who I am (and I hope it'll be the same in the future too)

Layer 8: Age You're Hoping...
To Be Married: Latest by 29, earliest 26 (But if I'm still a spinster by 35... I think I'd need somebody's help... lol)

To Die: It'd be nice if I would be able to see 88 birthday candles on my cake. But as long as I think that I've enjoyed life as I wanted to, I'd peacefully go

Layer 9: In a Girl...(Eh shouldn't this be Boy for me? LOL)
Best Eye Colour: Turquoise or green is my dream-guy's eye colour =D But since there wouldn't be much variety in Asians, dark brown would be fine (Oh, and no contact lenses... original only)
Best Hair Colour: Something dark, black or dark brown would be cool

Short Hair or Long Hair: In between, a little on the long side. (Actually short also can be quite hot...depends on the person. Look at Wentworth Miller lah -Michael Scofield from Prison Break- crew cut on him is sooo hot! XD)

Layer 10: What Were You Doing...
A Minute Ago: Obviously filling up the blanks in this post. But if you were to say exactly, I would've been typing "Obviously filling up the blanks in this post.", before I paused to think what to write next.

An Hour Ago: Sitting in Viv's Myvi, on the way back from KL

4.5 Hours Ago: Hanging at Viv's house, having lunch while chatting with Ai Cheng

A Month Ago: Precisely one month ago, I would've been attending Taxation classes at college

A Year Ago: One year? Hmm... Eh I don't know lah... how can one possibly remember? It should've been a Sunday... Ah! Got it! I was taking my usual Sunday afternoon nap (which I no longer am able to enjoy anymore T_T )

Layer 11: Finishing the Sentences...
I love: My Daddy, Mummy and lil bro and other family members, all my friends, God my Father, books, Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp, okonomiyaki, green tea, anime, my electone and the precious expensive songbooks from Japan, my electronic dictionary, birthdays, sports and baking, money, chocolates and anything sweet, and last of all, Mr.Patrick Star

I hate: Centipedes and millipedes, flying cockroaches, the college cafeteria closing on Sundays, smokers who don't give a damn about all the 2nd hand smokers around them, and the Malaysian attitude of drivers who always slow down to 'pat' at any stalled cars/accidents on the road.

I hide: Certain secrets from my parents and sometimes even friends, chocolates I bought with my own cash from my brother, feelings that I don't want to show (wah so emo)

I miss: My host family all the way in Japan, all the great times I spent with my beloved friends and family, going to secondary school, being able to take naps on Sunday afternoons...

Yep, that's all. You don't have to read this if you don't want to you know. Next is...
Wan Yong's birthday list!!! I want......

Just kidding. Figure out what I want yourself =p. Even if I do tell, I think most of you won't be able to afford it anyway =p. Happy hunting!

Happy August!

It's August! And August is International Friendship Month!

Well, at least I think it is...

So anyway, I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you and Happy Friendship Month to all those who have called themselves my friends in the almost 19 years that I have lived~

Thank you all for the fun, joy, laughter, anger, sorrow.
Thank you all for always being there.
Thank you all for being who you are.
And thank you all for choosing me as a friend.

Happy Friendship Month!
Yong-sama loves you all.

Special thanks and credits to anyone who has contributed in all ways small or big to my life, and also anyone whose beautiful works lie in pictures used in this post.

A refreshing trip back from the sauna

Ahh yes, what more than a refreshing trip TO the sauna to spice yourself up for a little extra bonus in attention span and focus --- all for the sake of those dreaded Sunday classes.

"A refreshing experience that will leave you at least 2 pounds lighter at the end of the day and guaranteed to make you sweat out all that excess and unwanted toxins in your body. And we're even throwing in a special plus! Just bring along a friend or two, or even more to join you in your relaxing day at this amazing sauna!"

That was exactly what I got for turning up for class today.

In a freaking average-sized lecture theatre with a freaking large number of students for an average class, we poor freaks had to endure almost 3 hours worth of 'sauna time' in class as the freaking air-conditioner was NOT working.

And the freaking reason the administration gave when they came to inspect on us after receiving our complaint:
"You all opened the windows, that's why it's not cold."

Opened the windows my foot, if we hadn't opened the windows, we'd most probably suffocated to death, Ms. Admin.

After 3 full hours worth of smelling our neighbour's sweat and taking a bath in our own sweat, they finally moved us to another lecture theatre which was almost incapable of taking all us 270 students. But, we managed to squeeze in (thanks to the skills of all students who have been trained from the first time since entering the college). Thank heavens the air-conditioner was functioning. Imagine if we were sitting in a lecture hall with no air-cond, what do you think would freaking happen if someone were to fart? Can you even imagine that situation?

In another 1 hour or so, one of the persons in charge came in to apologise. Well, at least they apologised, we thought. But whaddya-know... Right after apologising, she announced that it was our fault because apparently the air-cond 'overheated' or whatever it was because: WE OPENED THE WINDOWS!

If I wasn't a girl, I'd most probably had stood up and shouted, "To hell and fish you and your window opening business, missy!"

Well, after that the day went fairly smooth, right until about a half hour before the class ended of course. What do you think happened? The air-conditioner got switched off again! Whee~~~ We get an additional sauna session absolutely free! Aren't you glad that we as consumers are benefiting so much from this? And for the first time too!

And once again, to hell and fish you and your freaking window opening thingy.

Random

Random...

On this random cloudy day, random dark clouds have been randomly covering the sky ever since morning of this random day. And now, as I randomly sit at my computer table, I've randomly decided to blog about this randomly beautiful and useful word, RANDOM.

On extremely useful random word, don't you think? Randomly perfect to use when you think a random someone is randomly acting in a random way that you did not randomly expect. Not just that, it's also randomly useful in random situations where you just can't think of something random to hit back at that random someone. Now as you randomly decide to read my random post, just ask yourself: How often do I randomly use this random word RANDOM?

More randomly often than not? No? Then how about just randomly when you randomly need it? No? What? You haven't heard of the random use of this random word? Well then, if you have randomly answered 'yes' to my last random question then maybe you might need to randomly get some random help y'know.

Okay, I seriously do not know why did I randomly choose to blog about this random word. Maybe it's a random sign to tell me that I am running out of better random ideas. Or maybe it's just me being at my random best (or random worst).

Anyway back to this random subject/word/post, I randomly wonder if people actually realise it when they randomly use this random word. A lot of random people don't actually realise it... it's like how some random people always uses "Swt..." or even "GG".

Maybe some random person who holds any random PhD should do a random study on this. Yea... then that random person can start calling this random research project 'Randomology' or something. And then once this random subject is all randomly figured out and stuff maybe some random university can start randomly giving out random degrees, masters and PhDs to those who managed to complete the random study of this random word turned random subject. That would be total randomness *akin to coolness* won't it? Random XD

I randomly have this feeling that the random majority of you will not understand this post. I randomly do not care. I feel totally random right now. The randomness of this post is just so refreshing!

So randomly join me! Join this random me in my randomness on this randomly cloudy day!

Random whee~!

Troubling Nights

Don't you just hate it when you try to go to sleep at night and instead of doing so, find yourself wide awake and staring into the darkness as you hear the alarm clock beside you ticking away?

Well, it's not my cup of tea either. What more with the fact that I do need at least 9 hours of sleep a day to be able to be fully focused and pumped up for the next day's activities, being unable to sleep at night is not a fun thing at all.

I have been having trouble sleeping for the past three nights.

The earliest I've been able to sleep at was 1a.m. And the latest? 3.30a.m.

Guess the main reason as to why I'm having trouble sleeping is that my mind isn't as exhausted as I thought it would be. I lay awake every night thinking about a lot of unwanted thoughts. You know how when you sometimes space out, your brain starts moving as if you're watching a film,
a film of your memory that all happened in the past? Yeah, mine has been working something like that for the past three days. And what's being replayed isn't the best of memories either.

Every time I think of something, I start asking myself: 'What would have happened if I did...... instead? But blah! It all happened in the past, it's not like I can turn back time and go try it out right?' So after stopping myself from thinking any further I'll automatically stop at that memory, and then my brain will automatically show me another one instead. =.=

Haih, maybe it's just me.

Well, I think I've emo-ed/ranted enough for now. You know how cranky I can get when I don't get enough sleep.

Sleep, sleep, sleep... Why do you ELUDE me???!!!

Yong-sama gets her much wanted HOLIDAY

I'm sure most of my close friends would very easily tell anyone who's asking about me how much I was really stressed out during the last six months and have been complaining of needing a REAL holiday. So yes then, I'm glad to announce that I finally got the holiday I wanted so much in that short span of two weeks I had as a college break.

I know it's not necessary to let everyone know what I actually did or how I enjoyed myself, but I still feel compelled to blog about it. Don't worry, it's just gonna be a real short post.

Bapakz in Genting
Weekdays are the best times to be going to Genting to avoid the stupid crowd you'd usually find there during weekends and peak seasons. So my college mates and I decided to go up there and enjoy ourselves thoroughly.
from left: Ai Cheng, Vivi, Me and Joce

I'm extremely proud to tell everyone that we crazy girls actually sat on the Space Shot (also known as the Solero Shot) at least 3 times. (I took it 4 times, my good friend Athirah and Joce actually took it 5 times). By the third time I was on it, I didn't feel anything anymore. Guess I was already numb to it by then.

And the cutest one in the pack: Ms. Athirah

We didn't stay there for the night though. And a good thing it was I guess, apparently the group of other college mates we met there by pure coincidence actually experienced some 'supernatural' sightings/feelings in a lift in a particular hotel.

6 Hot Chicks on Redang
Most of you already know how long we girls have been good friends ever since entering the same class during Form 1 in secondary school. And through bitter and sweet times we've actually been able to stick together until now (believe me, it wasn't easy). Going to Redang together have always been our somewhat plan and dream for a long long time. Looks like dreams really do come true if you put your mind to it huh? =D

The boards the hotel built floating on the sea's surface leading further out to the open sea was a fun walk during the high tide. From left: Zhong Li, Sarah, Lotte, Fern and Maine.

Now you understand why I said we were hot chicks right? Because seriously, they all are.

There's nothing much for me to say. The time and fun I had with them is just indescribable in words. The free accommodation that one of us was able to obtain was a bonus added on to all the fun we had. Love you all gurls! Next stop: Pulau Phuket XD

Hungry Teddies Storm Ipoh (Or more like 'Hungry Teddies wandered around Ipoh aimlessly a lot')

We are friends. We are Teddies. And we were HUNGRY.

Clockwise from left: Sue-Anne (nice pose), the boys at their card game -Foo covering his face, Qi Hong, Willy and Jun Sheng on the floor, The Sleeping Dong (I know he'll kill me if he sees this pic XD don't nobody tell him, 'kay?) and me.

Yup. Hungry Teddies really wandered around New Town Ipoh a lot aimlessly with me only helping Qi Hong oh-so-pathetically until we finally satisfied our stomachs. (I still feel bad because I think I was a bad guide. Lol)

Most of the time we spent hanging around the hotel room playing cards and talking. Ah, but it was nice doing a nice long catch-up after not seeing each other for so long. So where to next, Teddies?

My new but expensive hobby

Baking!

You can say that I was extremely 'smart' to take up this hobby right at the end of my holidays, when I was so broke (I still am F.Y.I) and heavily in debt (Baking is expensive if you have to buy the ingredients with your own allowance, like I do... especially chocolate cakes...)

What was left of my butter cake just three days after baking it. -Yes, it's empty-
My extremely successful first-time banana loaf cake.

But the joy of seeing family members and friends enjoying the cakes I made is more than enough to cover up for the cost of it. It's on to cookies next, when I'm not so broke that is. =D

*******

Here ends the delightful stories that I have to tell you about my holidays, and it's back to the digging of my grave for another five months. To all that contributed in any way to this past holiday of mine, I say thank-ya big big (Stephen King-- Dark Tower Style) and love you all.

Wait, wait, this isn't the post that I said would blow your heads away. That is still a W.I.P (Work in Progress). Don't know when I'll get around to that though.

A thousand apologies

A thousand apologies to all my readers...
(although by the time I actually apologise 1000 times to each and everyone of you I'd probably be 78 years old and suffering from Laryngopharyngeal Reflux Disease -go google it blah-)

I know I haven't been actively blogging for the past 2 to 3 months and I know I have readers who'd loyally come by every 3 days or so just to check and see if I'd made a new post. And when they do, what do they see but the same post I've made like who knows how long ago and a fairly active chatterbox, minus anything from the owner. Although I would say I have reasons for my lack of blogging, I still do not think that it is sufficient enough to redeem the disappointments suffered by my beloved readers (ee.. sounds so corny), what more with me having my holidays now and everything.

But anyway fear not, let me get my act back together, say in like a few days or so, and I'll try and cook up something that will blow your heads away (ok... I don't really wanna commit murder or anything lol)

And before I log off for today, just lemme wish all my readers here a Happy 1st of July... the month that kills my savings because for no particular reason my friends' parents just decided to have them in this month of so many months. Whee~ Happy 1st of July!
